ABOUT

I am an international journalist originally from New York. My work focuses on the African Diaspora and gender at the intersections of racial politics, sexuality, culture, violence against women and U.S. foreign policy. In 2017, I began working as a foreign correspondent covering Liberia's then presidential election for the Voice of America. While based in the capital of Monrovia, I also worked as a stringer for the BBC and wrote features on Liberia's cases of sexual and gender-based violence, education, entrepreneurship and access to safe water among other topics for various outlets. In addition to my work as an independent journalist, I run The Correspondante, a new culture and lifestyle site for globetrotting women.

Before moving to Liberia, I got my start as a news writer and cultural commentator for the women's site, HelloBeautiful.com. I later transitioned into local broadcast news as a writer and video editor at NY1 and News 12.
